Growth of Gram-positive organisms from intravitreal endophthalmitis isolates on Mueller-Hinton agar with ETEST strip testing for antibiotic susceptibilities and minimum inhibitory concentrations. The drug is eluted in immediate proximity to the plastic carrier, creating a gradient of drug concentrations to measure the minimum concentration required for the inhibition of growth. This figure represents inhibition of growth (red arrow), a minimum concentration of 0.5 μg/ml.
