The left eye of a patient with posterior uveitis (a) does not show retinal or choroidal lesions on fundus photography, but RPE mottling in the foveal area. Fluorescein angiography illustrates retinal vascular leakage (b) in the extreme periphery and an area of focal leakage superior to the fovea. This corresponds to subretinal hyperreflective material (SHRM) on the spectral domain OCT (c) and a type 2 choroidal neovascular membrane surrounded by sub-retinal fluid.
